POSCO ENERGY is operating Incheon Combined LNG Power Plant and has been supplying electricity stably for the past 50 years. Incheon Combined LNG Power Plant holds its installed capacity of 3,412MW.
POSCO ENERGY is carrying forward a gas business that can maximize a synergy in connection with the operation of the LNG power plant based on
gas business’ global market size and future growth. To achieve this, it secured Gwangyang LNG Terminal and made efforts to operate a safe terminal and at the same time, developed a derivative business to expand the gas business value chain and is leading in creating a new revenue model.
POSCO ENERGY is carrying forward a new and renewable energy business including sunlight and wind power in Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
Solar Farm of 14.5MW and Onshore Wind Farm of total 62.7MW are in service. Offshore Wind Power Plant of 300MW is expected to be developed additionally and the Company is performing the government’s ‘Renewable Energy 3020’ policy actively.
It is also running a district heating supply facility using abandoned sewage heat.
POSCO ENERGY is carrying forward a power generation business overseas as well as in Korea briskly. It constructed a by-product gas power plant of 200MW in Indonesia and is now operating it and constructed a thermal power plant of 1,200MW in Vietnam first time as private power generator and even now does not stop its step toward growth to become the most powerful global combined energy company.
In the future, POSCO ENERGY will enter the gas business including direct introduction of LNG beyond the existing power generation business and simultaneously provide the preemptive solutions for environmental issues and respond to the changes in future electric power industry.
