POSCO ENERGY is playing an integral part in the implementation of the government’s "Renewable Energy 3020"
action plan with renewable energy business.
As for photovoltaic power generation, POSCO ENERGY is evaluated to have set an example of
eco-friendly business practices that improve community well-being by building and operating
a 14.5MW-capacity photovoltaic power complex on a closed salt field in Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.

14.5MW in total
We minimized surrounding environmental damages by developing closed salt field into photovoltaic power complex.
In addition, we are producing eco-friendly energy that is highly efficient by utilizing the amount of much solar radiation
as the characteristic of salt pond.
We are producing 18,000MWh of electricity annually for 5,300 households to use.
It brings about 7,600 ton of CO2 reduction effect and planting effect of 2.2 million pine trees annually.

POSCO ENERGY is fully engaged in floating and rooftop photovoltaic power generation to further
promote the expansion of these exciting fields in renewable power.
As for wind power generation, POSCO ENERGY is currently engaged in a large-scale onshore and offshore wind power complex
in Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do. A 62.7MW on-shore wind power complex is currently in operation in Jaeun-myeon in Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do.
The go-ahead for a 300MW offshore wind power complex has been acquired and planning is underway to begin construction.

62.7MW in total
POSCO ENERGY has reduced 49,000 ton of CO2 annually by creating an onshore wind power complex of 62.7MW
and achieved the planting effect of 14 million pine trees
It is also expected that creating an offshore wind power complex of 300MW in the future has
290,000 ton of CO2 reduction effect and planting effect of 85 million pine trees.
